It’s fairly common here in Mexico to be offered green juices or green smoothies out here. Instead of using kale or spinach, like I’m used to, nopales (cactus) is the base. Today to celebrate New Years Day in Sayulita, I made a batch of my favorite smoothie recipe. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 2 huge handfuls of Nopales
- 1/2 cup of Fresh Orange Juice
- 2 cups of Guanabana Juice
- 1 cup mango
- 2 cups pineapple
- 1 1/2 cups ice
- 1 1/2 bananas
- 2 tbsp moringa powder
- 1 tbsp maca
- 1 tbsp fresh aloe gel
- 2 tsp MSM
Instructions:
In a blender, add nopales and orange juice and blend all together for desired consistency. Add in the rest of the ingredients and blend until incorporated. Serve immediately.
